Parents Praise PCSG's Commitment and Services..Lori, Mother of Andrew, age 6: "I love the services here. I have been other places and I have not been impressed there. Andrew has learned (the) most here." Thelen, mother of Celia, age 4: "Celia enjoyed the themed activities - going fishing, camping, on a picnic, etc. She enjoyed playing with other peers her age and has learned basic social skills that we can build on." Jennifer, Mother of Sophie, age 5: "I love Parent/Child and everyone that works here. (The front office staff) goes above and beyond the call of duty. (His occupational therapist) is incredible; the best!" Denise, Mother of Noah, age 4: "I knew we had selected the right fit for Noah when we saw him smile and run toward his therapist. We have sessions in Speech, OT, and PT; each appointment we see improvement. Well past our expectations." Thelen, mother of Celia, age 3: "We feel very blessed to be here. The staff is very professional. Our therapist is knowledgeable and caring and proactive about my daughter's treatment." Rose Anne, mother of Taylor, age 33 months: "PCSG is a wonderful, first class therapy center. They've made a world of difference in our son's progress. We currently receive speech, OT, PT and ABA for his autism." LeAnn, mother of Daniel, age 9: "I am thankful for Parent-Child Services Group. They have been able to diagnose our son and explain things to us to really help as we seek to help him. They have provided a wealth of important information that has been instrumental in bringing about improvements in his life. I really appreciate the fact that time is never wasted during our visits. Our son looks forward to each visit and never wants to leave!" Lane and Tom, parents of Lake, age 7: "Lake is working on Fast ForWord Reading this summer and we are so pleased with his progress and results". Jeannine, mother of James, age 17: Fast ForWord has been a life-changing experience for our son James. We consider it a miracle that James' brain actually changed to compensate for his audio-processing deficit. He participated in the program after failing 3rd grade and by 7th grade he no longer needed tutoring. In 10th grade now, he is a solid B student in a private and difficult Christian school. A friends' child, who did not participate in the program still struggles in school. Brad and Jennifer, parents of Rachael, age 7: "We wanted to formally thank you..for your investment into our daughter. After a year of (another program), begging teachers for help, specialized tutoring, and hours upon hours of tears and frustration-----THANK YOU! ...(W)e were initially hesitant to put Rachael in the Fast ForWord program because she had more language, vocabulary, and blending issues. (It) seems like a lot of money to "hope it helps." After many other programs, we were so exhausted with promises. Now, I believe that is the best (money) I've ever spent on anything! She's actually "getting it" and study time has become much more effective. We were absolutely amazed at the significant difference Fast ForWord made in our daughter's ability to understand phonics and blending. We literally studied spelling every single night and we were lucky to make a 70. Within three weeks of participating in the Fast ForWord program, we were making 95-100. My daughter was so excited that all of her hard work was finally making a difference. Her self esteem has been completely rejuvenated from your program and she is now able to see the benefit of sometimes hours of study time. She's spelling better, reading better, and understanding instruction more." Brenda, mother of John, age 10: "I really appreciate Parent-Child Services. Our son's therapist really cares about us. We're not just another client. When there was a misunderstanding regarding finances, the staff treated us with respect and kindness, and worked hard to clear up the problem. I am grateful for that!" Lane and Tom, parents of Lake, age 5: "Lake participated in the STAR Summer Camp and had a ball. All he can talk about is going to see his horse, Meg. They had one hour with their horses and 1 hour social time with other riders in his group. It has been fantastic!" Jeannine, mother of James, age 15: "Fast ForWord helped James. We are extremely happy with the results." Lisa, mother of Parker, age 3: "PCSG has been a great help to our son. His therapist has done an excellent job with Parker's speech-language services as well as helping us know what to do at home. We also had the opportunity to meet Dr. Allen - he is excellent!" Mary, mother of Pace, age 9: "You do a great job of caring for the needs of all your clients...and the level of intervention is superb!" Ann, mother of Zac, age 9: "We were very pleased with the Fast ForWord program!" Kristine, mother of Allison, age 4: "My daughter loves her therapist. You can tell it's not just a job for her. She really enjoys spending time with my daughter and as a result, my daughter works hard for her." Ivy, mother of Caroline, age 9: "We love Caroline's therapist! She's such a positive, warm motivating therapist. Caroline looks so forward to their time together!" Sherry, mother of Stefan, age 5: "Special children, indeed all children, deserve the best treatments available. Stefan's therapists are exceptional people creating exceptional experiences for our son. He thoroughly enjoys his sessions and his progress is obvious. The office staff is very courteous and accommodating." Denise, mother of Alex, age 5: "Alex's therapist is terrific. She is skilled, intuitive, creative, warm, professional. Thanks for sucha a positive experience." Deanie, mother of Sarah, age 8: "Sarah's therapist has worked wonders with our child and it really shows in her (our child's) increased confidence. She provides excellent feedback and suggestions for homework activities. Classroom suggestions have also been very helpful." Lynn, mother of Grayson, age 3: "Excellent OT observation. We welcome Grayson's therapist's services." Beth, mother of Bradley, age 7: "I was so pleased with the expertise of the staff for my son as he went through Fast ForWord. His therapist kept me well informed with his progress and was awesome - Bradley loves him!" Mary, mother of Timmy, age 13: "We are very pleased with the services that Timmy receives. Timmy's therapist is a very caring and capable individual. Timmy has come a long way." Mark and April, parents of Elijah: "I don’t think you can comprehend just how much PCSG meant to our family! Elijah has made so much progress since the therapists began working with him less than a year ago. The little boy who couldn’t walk, said only 2 words and hated to swing has been transformed.
We are just overwhelmed at how well he is doing and we know that we owe much of his progress to the wonderful, talented team of people who poured so much into him and us! You were so much more than therapists to us – you became our friends. We will never be able to thank you enough but we wanted you to know what a difference you have made for Elijah and our whole family. We will be forever grateful that you were a part of our lives. May you be blessed in the ways that you have blessed us! Mary
Jane, mother of Lauren, age 13: "Lauren just thinks you are totally
COOL and didn't quit talking about Dr. Allen (she loved his long
hair!!! ) ..... all the way home ... which is a most pleasant surprise considering
some of the other doctor visit experiences we've endured ...... yikes ... you
guys were RED VELVET CAKE WITH ICING AND ICE CREAM!!!!!! .....my profound thanks for being so comfortable and caring about my family ...
you and your team at Parent-Child Services are really special folks that I
wished I'd met 5 years ago .... and I wish the rest of my family in Alabama
could meet you .... " Karen and Parker, parents of Logan, age 9: " As the parents of a child diagnosed with Autism, we found ourselves struggling with options to improve our son's ability to communicate. At your recommendation, we decided the Fast forWord program would be a good place to start. We were not sure what to expect, but were willing to try just about anything. Little did we know that this program would transform our child’s ability to communicate. But more importantly, it gave him the confidence to initiate talk with his family and peers. In a relatively short time his personality blossomed. His temper tantrums and angry behavior decreased drastically, as his ability to distinguish words and phrases gave him the self-confidence to try almost anything! Our experience with Fast forWord and the overall program administered through Parent-Child Services has been nothing short of miraculous! We are so thankful for the life-changing affect you have had on our child."
Celia, mother
of Sally Anna, 7 yrs. old: The PCSG therapists began
working with Sally Anna when she was 2 years of age and could only speak a
handful of words. Because of the therapists' hard work and the speech
and language programs offered by Parent-Child Services, Sally is now in 3rd
grade and reads on a 6th grade level. Gina, mother of Bernie, 2 yrs. old: "The loving support we have received from the therapists and the staff at PCSG has gone far and beyond a traditional service provider-client relationship. I truly feel that we are partners in Bernie's developmental progress." Sue, mother of Garret, 3 yrs. old: "PCSG has been our support system. From our first contact over 2 years ago we have received professional and compassionate service. Our son Garret has made amazing progress and I credit the talented, caring people we have on our side at PCSG." Trudi, mother of Kylan, 2 yrs. old: "The therapist has done a wonderful job with Kylan. She is able to continually access and meet his changing needs. He has shown growth under her care and half the time he thinks he's just playing. She's the best! Kris, mother of Elise, 3 ½ yrs. old: "The therapists at PCSG are top-notch. Elise has made great strides since starting here at age 3. They share information and coordinate with each other, allowing for maximum synergies. They work to make our life easier by scheduling therapies back to back."
