PCSG History

8/88 Formation of Lynne F. Harmon, M.A., CCC-SLP and Associates staffed with one speech-language pathologist and one office manager located on Papermill Road.

1991 - The business moved to new offices on Coleman Road with additional staff.

1992 - The by-line 'a Parent-Child Services Group' was added beneath the company name.

1995 - Year of incorporation of the company as Parent-Child Services Group, Inc. 'Lynne F. Harmon, M.A., CCC-SLP and Associates' continued as a second company name.

1996 - Opened a second office on Lonas Road to accommodate addition of an occupational therapist and additional speech-language pathologist launching the multiple specialty concept.

1997 - Expanded the staff and moved to a larger location on Coleman Road.

1999 - Consolidated offices into a larger facility on Weisgarber (current location). The company name of 'Lynne F. Harmon, M.A., CCC-SLP and Associates' was officially retired.

2000 - Enlarged the staff by adding two physical therapists.

2001 - Opened a second office in Farragut that provided speech-language pathology, physical therapy, and occupational therapy. The staff had now grown to five administrative personnel, 17 therapists, and two college students.

2004 - PCSG celebrates its 15th anniversary! Our client base exceeded 1500 with a staff of 26 including a psychologist and a developmental pediatrician.

2006 - PCSG retires its first employee, Sara Thelin.

2008 - Closed our Farragut office and launched a new division called The READ Center to provide educational psychology, speech-language pathology, occupational therapy, and academic tutoring for struggling students. Knoxville's first comprehensive academic development center!

2008 - Lynne Harmon, PCSG's president, is nationally recognized by being awarded the American Speech-Language-Hearing Foundation's Louis M. Di Carlo Award for Recent Clinical Achievement at ASHA's 2008 international conference in Chicago.

2009 - The company celebrates its 20th anniversary with over 4000 past and present clients.

2012: The READ Center moves back to main PCSG office location.

2012: Martha McClellan, M.A., CCC-SLP celebrates 20 year anniversary with PCSG.
